Twin Cedars Reviews Twin Cedars - Except One is a Spruce Home

Reviews

We just returned from a great weekend of skiing and we loved this home. We were very impressed with the property itself. The land is beautiful with the stream rushing to the lake, views of the lake and the surrounding wilderness. We had eight - two couples and four kids. Wish the double bed was a queen for the adults but other than that, there was plenty of room with the love seat bed in the loft and the aerobeds. We had everything we needed and enjoyed it very much. Great to be so dog friendly as well. She enjoyed it as well! We will definitely come back! — Anonymous
My sister, my dog, and I had a wonderful week at Twin Cedars. It is a beautiful, stunning location, with well kept grounds and of course the amazing view and close presence of Lake Superior. The house was perfect, gorgeous views from the large balcony, and a very comfortable large dining area and living room. It is close to great hiking, but also a wonderful place to just enjoy and relax. The owner Becky was very attentive and everything was available that we needed to make for a great stay. Highly recommended!  — PKH
This home is a place to regain a sense of peace and comfort in your life. Younger, more active people can use all the open space to walk, sit around a fire, rest in the hammock, and explore along the rocky ledge of Lake Superior. For us - ages 68 and 75 - this was a time of rest and recovery. The well-appointed interior of this home made us feel like it was OUR OWN home. Becky's extremely well-stocked pantry and cooking supplies made it easy to create homemade meals from scratch. And the beds....so comfortable. We filled the hummingbird feeder with nectar upon arrival, and three days later, it was gone. We thoroughly enjoyed watching a family of 5 hummingbirds chase one another around that feeder. In the evening, with a candle and a bouquet of Becky's wild flowers on the table, we enjoyed sitting at their beautiful dining room table, watching the birds, and enjoying a meal together. Priceless. And Becky might even have a special treat for you! For us, this place was perfect and I couldn't give a place higher recommendations. — Anonymous
This is the perfect North Shore cabin experience. Woodsy interiors, extremely clean and well kept cabin and grounds. We felt comfortable and at home from the first day. The back yard is a "garden of Eden". Cabin lives a lot bigger than pictured. There is a larger set of stairs to the Master Suite than is shown. (I was afraid that the loft ladder was only access to upstairs). Also, pantry is well stocked with surprises, and cookware/dishes are very ample. Our grand daughters, ages 9 & 13 just loved the experience! Can't wait to return again. — Char J.
We just got back from a wonderful ski/snowboard weekend at Twin Cedars. This place is a true gem. Gorgeous knotty pine (or cedar??) interior with interesting details, ladder leading to a loft, nooks and crannies oh my! Everything from the furniture to the light fixtures to the artwork added lovely touches pulling everything together. We had 6 people and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space. Becky is great with communication and very accommodating. It was hard to leave after just 2 nights…would’ve loved an extra day! However, with it being one of the coldest weekends of the year, I wouldn’t mind getting up there in warmer temps when the breathtaking yard/lake views can be better enjoyed! — Kim
My husband and my daughters and son-in law spent a long weekend at Twin Cedars( except one is a Spruce) and had such a great time, the place was clean, comfortable cozy and felt like home, very welcoming. We just loved the outdoor space. it showed so much respect for the natural world and it felt lush and magical. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and pots and pans. We cooked all of our meals and had two wonderful fires at night, we would have had more but rain didn't allow. Becky and Jim were so easy to work with and gracious, we will be back with another entry in the guest book. My dog Maddie loved walking thew rocky shore line and exploring the paths. I would highly recommend it. — Barbara O.
